a very nice read, herodotus also mentions how persians got the habit of pederasty or bacha bazi from them, were the greek kings in central asia a bacha baz and involved in pederasty? Did alexander brought bacha bazi to central asia? Why didn't this greek habit spread to europe, or if europe was also known for pederasty?

pederasty was known in central asia until soviet era and is still known in afghanistan and parts of Pakistan as well.

what happened to greek bacha bazi, how did the greeks eliminated it? did it simply die off or did romans punishd greeks into abandoning this horrible culture?

Why blame poor Greeks and Central Asians only? Some things are always better under wraps. I am not aware of how Shikhandi managed. He did have a sex change. I think most, men or women, encounter homosexuality in their growing years.

No.
Romans adopted it from Greeks.
The time Greeks gave it up was with prevalence of Cristianity. But that was a time when Romans were a minority in no position to change Greek culture any longer.

Herodotus cannot be taken as a reliable authority on such things, and pederasty was not generally accepted in ancient Greek society, it was largely to certain circles in certain places in certain periods; you should not accept the rubbish that is spread about this matter on the internet and in popular culture.

It could be. There is no mention of such a practice in any of the Indian literature.
The area where this behaviour is prevalent, Afghanistan and NW Pakistan, was the area where the Greeks ruled for some time.

it is interesting that some turks and greeks call each other gays, considering both have this shared culture of pederasty and homosexuality in the past.

homosexuality of turks was also very well known infact babur a turkic mughal king even admits having feelings for a young beautiful boy in his memoirs. He calls him ''Baburi'', a female babur

On the other hand, it might have been present in Persian/Turkish culture even before the Greeks. The Turks and Persians castrated young boys and used them for such purposes.
This is what was done to many captured Indian boys by all the Islamic invaders and rulers.
Allauddin Khilji and Malik Kafur is a famous example. The latter was a hindu boy, captured, converted and castrated and was supposed to be Allauddin's lover.
Where did the practice of castrating young boys come from?
