King Richard III was dead on Bosworth battlefield on 22th of August.
Bosworth was 21 km from Leicester. And Leicester was still 143 km from London.
Precisely how did Henry become King in England elsewhere than Bosworth battlefield?

There were not Yorkist commanders with armies fit to defeat Henry after Bosworth. But precisely why did Staffords, who successfully left Bosworth battlefield, get stuck in a sanctuary in Colchester? It was August. Did any prominent Yorkists succeed in departing England either by sea or over the land border to Scotland?
