I think Winston Churchill best understood the dangers. Wasn't he the one who said the west needed to "strangle Bolshevism in its cradle".

Of course he was right. The problem with Churchill was timing. He was often right about things (like Hitler) too long before the public would be willing to support action.

Bakunin was a contemporary of Marx. He was imo a nutter, but spot on about Marxism
