Which topics interest or obsess our members about Indian subcontinent? - 1

I analysed the top 200 threads in 'Asian History' forum to understand which topics interest or obsess our members about Indian subcontinent. These 200 threads had a total of 65,185 replies as on 29th Dec 2017.

Among the total replies, 62% (40,309) are connected in with history of Indian subcontinent while 38% (24876) are about other countries in Asia.

This above skew is due to more Indians being members of the forum compared to other Asians. In other words, a greater proportion of Indians understand English language, courtesy British colonization. Pakistanis also understand English but are fewer in numbers than Indians. Unfortunately, my observation is that, they sometimes get on the wrong side of moderators and among remaining Pakistanis some lose steam.

Next to Indian subcontinent, interest focuses on China 22% (14,202 replies), Japan 4% (2412), Korea 3% (2081), & Others 9% (6181). This is breakup of the 38% slice mentioned above.

In next post, I analyse eras or periods of high interest in Indian subcontinent.

Regards

Rajeev

When discussing history of Indian subcontinent, which Era or Period are we excited about, discuss about in our threads?

Maximum debate is on Vedic Era, then Contemporary Era, next Harappan Era, and then British Era.
