Hello, I was wondering how far south Egypt traded (in either the Old, Middle or New Kingdoms.)

Ancient Egyptian goods may have traveled all the way to the Nile's end, but I believe they never went further than Sudan. The Nile gets more swampy further south. This is why Nero's Nile expedition stopped in the Sudd region. But there's the Red Sea than can link trade between Horn of African and Ethiopian civilizations. But Egyptian interests primarily laid on the Canaan region and the Mediterranean since it had more potential benefits.
