What military unit was better? I'm going with the aggressive Hungarian Hussars.

Both types of this cavalry were adopted by most of european armies during and after napoleonic wars. However I belive that Hungarian hussars were popular because of cool looking dress while Polish lancers because of advantage which was giving lance in fight against other cavalry and infantry. The other thing is that lance required additional training.

BTW - the first professional cavalry in the USA was created by Polish noble Casimir Pulaski but his second in command was Hungarian and they both trained young american cavalry in both types. It was so called "Pulaski's Legion".

Polish uhlans recived lances after famous incident during the battle of Wagram. After unsuccesful charge of Austrian lanciers their commander ordered them to drop their lances and continue the fight without them. The austrian lances were picked up from the battlefield by Polish uhlans who using them routed the Austrians.
After Wagram Polish uhlans under Napolen were armed with lances:

de Segur:

"Following the battle of Wagram in 1809 and shortly before sections of the regiment entered Spain for the second time, the Poles were issued with the lance; their national weapon, which they used with such devastating effect against their enemies. Consequently, the regiment was renamed the Regiment de Chaveau - Leger Lanciers Polonais de la Garde Imperiale. "

Do you have any information about battle accounts between the two?

I would say the Polish Lancers.

They were used very effectively in the Peninsula, a notable battle for them being the battle of Albuera.

hard to say, the only armies using husar and lancer cavalry were Austria and Napoleonic grande armee. The Russians or British didnt have any. Prussians had husars but not sure if had lancers. The British created their own after napoleonic wars. For example the famous light brigade from the battle of Balaclava was combined from both hussar regiments modeled after Hungarian and lancer regiments modeled after Polish.

But for example in the battle of Struga/Strigau 1807, 240 Polish lancers (3 regiments 80 sabers each) defeated about 1400 Prussians, including 1 regiment of hussars (80 sabers), 1 regiment of Dragoons (80 sabers) 1 regiment of Bosniaks (80 sabers), some artillery and the rest were infantry.
