It not just Greek. Almost every culture have or naked sculpture or nudity art or even porn sculpture or porn art except cultures under Judeo-Christianty common senses.

Nudity, the perfected human form, bare and simple.
Indeed, this was the classic ideal of Greek art, transcendal physical perfection, clothing at best was sterile and unmovable during the Classic period, it's only with the Hellenistic art that clothing comes alive (when worn).

Because they could.

Edit: I take it back, the Moche did realistic portrait sculpture around the same time...but does anyone know if they celebrated the human form as did the Greeks?

I think women were already represented clothed. Their body was not that perfect for them.
Not my point here, and untrue, women were also depicted nude, its just that there are more male sculptures, one reason without a doubt the fact that we're dealing with a patriarchal culture. And when I talked about the clothing this was not alien to the classic Greeks, the Driver of Delphi wears a robe (and he's a man for that), classical Greek art, what I meant was that the clothing is often static, it's only with Hellenism that clothing comes alive.
