Its appears to be somewhat similar in terms of the core believe. Both wolfs essentialy raises children that then establish great empires, among a few.
Interesting parallel. The two myths are quite similar actually. I've looked around and the Roman one is more ancient [as for I can see the Ashina clan is historically attested since V century CE].

In any case, the similarity between the two myths can be explained by the natural contexts where the two peoples developed their powers: Central Asia and Central Italy have got something in common ... mountains and wolves ... both the regions are lands of wolves [still today you can meet wolves in Central Italy].
