Is the European Union economically very harmful for the V4 countries?

In the case of Hungary , the join to the EU was economically a very bad decision.

Most newer EU members, more so in Eastern Europe, have higher GDP growth rates. Even though many migrate to other countries for better opportunities, they have done better objectively than France, Germany, and definitely Italy and Spain.

Maastricht Treaty was signed in 1992 and it came into force in 1993 when EU was formally established. Events after 1991 are not considered history and can only be discussed in current events section of the forum.

I'd suggest Hungary leaves the EU and sets up a completely autarchic national economy.

They also started out with a much lower base, though.
