Israel captured the Negev relatively quickly, no?

Also, couldn't Israel have tried to delay the ceasefire with Jordan in order to capture more Jordanian territory?
Dunno about the latter but with regard to the rapidity of Israel’s advance I was referring to the Jordanian front.

OK; understood. Anyway, IMHO, Israel should have still stalled for time as long as possible on the Jordanian Front.

BTW, what do you think would have happened had Israel attacked Latrun again in September 1948? AFAIK, this vote failed by a 7 to 5 vote in the Israeli Cabinet during this time (though Ben-Gurion supported this move).
