I have often wondered when people who hold important offices. how they can run for another one at the same time - like when sitting Governors run for President. Don't they have any work to do on their real job? When it is a Senator, you can rationalize it. After all, there 99 of them still on the job.

A major city newspaper reported recently that its mayor logged 7 hours on the job for an entire month, while running for US President. Are big city mayors only working 2 hours per week to begin with? Wouldn't that be a hoot?

Sounds about right. Because of the relatively low level of media scrutiny, mid to large-sized municipalities are corruption magnets.
