Very nice. I could not make out the words of the English song, was the singing. In English? Or was it Latin or maybe Norman French?

The “Cantigas de Santa Maria” / “Songs of Saint Mary”, written in Galician-Portuguese by the Castilian king Alfonso X and others, published around 1265, are among the most known of the Iberian Peninsula:

This is the refrain of the first one:

Santa Maria,
Strela do dia,
mostra-nos via
pera Deus e nos guia.
Saint Mary,
Star of the day,
show us the way
to God and guide us.
