Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope You all are in peace, in good company and abusing of good food and good booze!

If You can spare a moment, let us hear a good Christmas Carol from Uour homeland and maybe an interesting thing on Christmas.

As I'm in Germany, I'll send You the so often heard carol, in an English interpretation that remains unsurpassed in my opinion:

The traditional lunch here is ... fries with mayonnaise and Wienerwurst ...

The tradition is actually not that old, and it comes from the equal rights between women and men. Meaning, women having the right to go to work and not having any longer the time to prepare the old fashioned way.

So it ended in the tradition of fries, mayonnaise and Wienerwurst ...

Well Chritsmas... as we know today it is a 19th Century British-USA invention....As easy as to read primary sources from 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th centuries to know Christmas was not matched as today... not party at all January 1st.. and not special dinner at all on December 24th...

Christmas eve was invented by the British writer Charles Dickens in 1847... the famous Santa Claus was invented by Yankees : First in 1809 (Washington Irving.... but that Santa Claus was not the Santa Claus we can find today)... Santa Claus is a marketing product invented in 1863 as we know today....and Christmas tree from 1841 when the Snob Prince Albert (Victoria´s husband) decided to decorate Windsor Palace...

So, Christmas are invented during the Industrial Revolution to earn money....Nobody celebrated the Christmas with that ridicolus SAnta Claus or the Christmas tree in 1600, or in 1521 or in 1757 or in 1815.. or in 1830...or in 1848....So.. not tradition...
Christmas Tradition is only to go to Church and praying.. nothing more.. the rest is only Marketing...

not in vain, dedicated to people who want to be deceived themselves.
