I just can't decide between the 2nd Punic War and the Battle of Britain. What do you think?

You could pick many depending on your criteria;-

Epic 'stands' Rorkes Drift, Camerone, Wake Atoll not to mention Thermoplyae.

The Battle of Britain and Midway because crucial new ways of warfare come to the fore.

Stalingrad must be an epic as would Waterloo.

There are many more.

Yeah, battle of Gallipoli is unfamous indeed, but truly epic. That was the kind of battles nationalism is built upon

Second Punic War. The "real" first world war.
It wasn't a "world war" but it was indeed the first total war (unlike what Alexander did, which was pretty much Unilateral (I hope that's the right word).
