Sir Clyde Winters did not create this theory...The influence of Africa (namely Nile Valley civilization) on Greece has been written about indebted to my knowledge since the first half of the last century with the book "stolen legacy". The author was a professor who was essentially the spook who sat beside the door, relaying the information on Africa's infleunce on Greece that the European scholars would simply neglect. He was murdered for telling this truth. We have plenty of DNA evidence from neolithic Greece and the inhabitants were genetically Europeans, not black Africans. Of course this was already well known but 'afrocentrics' prefer fantasies to reality.
Clyde Winters appears to have serious mental issues and is a notorious liar, he's certainly not a reliable source for anything to do with history.
It's funny that you're attributing the truth being told to Clyde Winters, as though Winters spear headed the "Black Athena" debates. No it was a Jewish man named Martin Bernal, who continued to spill the beans on Europeans civilization's profound debt to it's African predecessors. Clyde Winters is also not responsible for this genetic map directly showing an African migration into Greece.
This isn't "Afrocentric fantasy". None of you all complaining about the truth will acknowledge this contextualization below.
Those Neolithic Farmers were sickle carriers with "Negroid" morphology descending from an earlier Nile Valley population.
Most of the ancient Greek words were AFRICAN/EGYPTIAN!!! The ancient languages of Indo-Europeans were brought them by this wave of Africans who were already in place in Europe
