I've seen this said about the Indian king Amoghavarsha in several articles and included in his wiki. Here is the link they cited for this statement.

I can't see where Suleiman of Basra makes such a statement so I wonder if it's a bogus claim. Can anyone help?
You can read the account of Suleiman in Vol. 1 of The History of India, as told by its own Historians: The Muhammadan Period, a famous collection of Islamic primary sources translated into English by Sir H.M.
