Petra is an archaeological site in Jordan, lying in a basin among the mountains which form the eastern flank of Wadi Araba, the great valley running from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. It is famous for having many stone structures carved into the rock.

Don't you think this is an amazing structure? Carved into the side of a mountain in something like 100-200 BC.

I remember a scene from one of the Indiana Jones movie featuring Petra. Might have been Raiders of the Lost Ark?

I've long since had a slight interest in Petra... how large is the landscape of the area?

Indeed, it is amazing.

It's incredible! I remember that scene in Indiana Jones, but can't remember which one it is.
