Yeah, I strongly doubt that it is ever going to happen (at least not within the next 100 years), but if it does, I would think that there would be strong pressure in the other NATO countries to intervene in order to ensure that the NATO alliance would be seen as meaningful rather than simply as a worthless piece of paper.

Can we discuss Zhou Enlai's Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence?
  1. Mutual respect for each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
  2. Mutual non-aggression.
  3. Mutual non-interference in each other's internal affairs.
  4. Equality and cooperation for mutual benefit.
  5. Peaceful co-existence.

an aside ,
As far as the international football federation ( FIFA ) is concerned great Britain is not a country , not even a federation , it simply do not exist
per their present ranking England ( 5 ) , Wales ( 19 ) , Northern Ireland ( 35 ) and Scotland ( 38 ) are countries eligible for recognition

The present top ranking team is BELGIUM !!!!

I think you've missed the point. They've tried several times to take away the individual members as logically there should just be a Britain team. But traditionally it doesn't really work and would probablt end up being England + Bale anyway (when fit)

The UK is a commonwealth of nations in which England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland constitute separate countries. Which is why they have separate national football teams that are affiliated with FIFA. Similarly, the Kingdom of the Netherlands consists of four separate countries and four national footbal teams affiliated with FIFA. Belgium is a federal state, but its communities/regions do not constitute separate countries.

Sure.
How does Zhou Enlai reconcile Point #3 in the following situations:
1. A regime is committing repression/genocide/other human rights abuses against its own or a subset of its own population.
2. A "peaceful" regime harboring a proxy, such as Taliban in Afghanistan with Al-Qaeda or ISIS in Iraq/Syria, who do not believe in peaceful co-existence.

How does Zhou Enlai define #2 mutual non-aggression?
1. Do economic sanctions on specific ruling individuals of a country violate this? Economic sanctions on the whole country? Total embargo?
2. What about a country sending refugees to other countries due to a situation that arises due to "internal affairs", causing a humanitarian crisis?
3. What about unequal deals. For example, I agree to sponsor your telecom grid in exchange for exercising some control over it/censorship. You can't talk bad about my government anymore in your own country.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

a search on the FIFA site only gave the Koninklijke Nederlandse Voetbalbond as affiliated member , since 1904 ?????
