I am doing the work of a curator for my Social Studies class. I have been given a continental draughting set. I am working on developing an essay about what this object tells us about the past. So, I'd like to find out about the links between the draughting set and the Industrial Revolution. I know the set was made by G. Schoenner and the growth of his factory certainly represents some of the changes in the industrial revolution. To get a deeper understanding of this object, I'd like to know more about the various uses of draughting sets. If anyone has any other advice for me I'd really appreciate it! I can provide images of the set as well.
