A positvely protacted campaign when compared to the 38 mins above, the Hundred Hours War, more commonly known as the Soccer War was in 1969 between El Salvador and Honduras. There had been tensions between the two countries due to land reforms and fighting between rival fans erupted at soccer matches. The final straw was when in a world cup play off match between the two, El Salvador won 3:2 after extra time. Just short of 60,000 combatants were involved.

March the 19th, 2019 will be the 50th anniversary of the british invasion of Anguilla. Like Rhodesia, Anguilla had declared unilateral independence from Britain but unlike Rhodesia, the prime minister Harold Wilson ordered the british rmed forces to seize it back again. The interesting thing about this was a TV interview where the journalist was asking a minister what the government were going to do about the Anguillan declaration. He answered, we're going to invade on Wednesday.
