Suggest some good books on history of Sanskrit language and literature without ideological bias. Basically the author should not have ideological bias like Sheldon Pollock.

There are several specialized books devoted to history of Sanskrit literature and my collection has the following, amongst which I found AA Macdonnell’s writing to be most lucid.

All of them are available free online.
