When a country harbors a sufficient number of followers of a militant religion Islam (10% in Sri Lanka), the country should expect attacks like this, or be in tireless vigilance to prevent such attacks, or do what Myanmar had done - banish the adherents. There are no easy fixes as long as there is Islam.

An obscure 'Islamist' group with no track record of any terror attack before, pulling off such a highly coordinated, professional-grade bombing campaign as it's first stint, against Christians among all religious groups in Srilanka - is totally absurd.

That a senior police officer warned ten days ago, particularly specifying that group's name, and no precaution was taken was in fact highly suspicious. Merely ten years ago, Colombo used to have a terror attack every month if not every week. Inaction by the security forces of such a warning is somewhat of a giveaway

Everything is wrong about it.

Considering the geopolitical dynamics involving Srilanka, India has every reason to disrupt Chinese influence there in any way they can. India in fact orchestrated removal of the previous pro-Chinese Srilanka president.

I can't see any plausibility whatever in the idea that this attack was planned form India, it is the kind of nonsense about 'false flag' operations that one constantly encounters in loonier regions of the internet. If a local Islamist group was involved, as has been suggested by the Sri Lankan authorities, it will have been done with support from abroad, so there is nothing absurd in that case in the idea that it - or they - could have pulled off such a successful operation. No doubt we will learn more in due course. The Sri Lankan authorities apparently received prior warning from both American and Indian intelligence about an intended Islamist attack.

Totally agree.

To the OP - Historum is NOT a place to propagate these ridiculous conspiracy theories. As and when some concrete evidence emerges, it remains a conspiracy theory. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck.
