How Many folks here know that there was a plot known as operation long jump by Hitler to take out all three allied leader simultaneously at the 1943 Tehran conference? It was two Soviets who saved the day though and prevented that operation from being carried out. Could One imagine how history would have unfolded if in 1943 the three main Allied leaders were taken out by the Reich?

Saved the day? It never came to fruition. If we are to believe the Soviet sources, they caught the bunch before it even began.

The British would have been affected the least, assuming Deputy PM Clement Atlee took over as PM in Jan 1944 instead of July 1945. Alternatively the Conservatives could have promoted (future PM) Eden to replace Churchill.
By this point of the war Germany can no longer win, and most of the contentious strategic decisions have already been made.

The US position could have been awkward if Henry Wallace takes over for FDR.

As far as I remember , the operation was infiltrated early on , it could have been foiled easily
but Stalin decided to let it reach an advanced operational stage and round up the plotters in Tehran itself

making a great show of the risk , he had the residence of the leaders reworked
citing security reasons to put Roosevelt close to him and Churchill out of easy reach of the american president
