90% of the 19th century ideological preludes of fascism spoke about various French stories and ideas, however everybody concentrate on Heine...

I wrongly remembered an Isiah Berlin article I had read - I see that he was clearly German - even if he was warning the French
NP.

French have this habit to appropriate themselves a lot of personalities that lived in France( Brassai isn't "Hungarian", but "French of Hungarian origin", for example) so I thought, what the heck, now some French "sources" declared even Heine a French? Therefore my astonishment.

Not at all: simply because Heine is interesting, it's a real subject. Unlike an OP about fascism that would be a French invention, 'cause Fascism is Bad, French are bad and inferiour, unlike Germans, etc, etc, etc ...
