yes actually India used for Land of Indus or Land East of Indus i believe according to this map This is his India

\so we can say that both Pakistan East of Indus and Extreme North West India is Actually India Minor
Red Line : India Minor
Gray color : Desert of Herodotus (Thar Desert)
Pink line : "End of the world" according to Herodotus

as we can see balouchistan, sindh, Rajasthan and Gujarat parts of north west India/SA were unknown to Herodotus according to his own Map of 430 BC

also,

they discovered Saurastra when they discovered Sindh and B.Stan (Guess)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saraostus

Saraostus (also Surastrene, modern Saurashtra in India) was the name given by the Greeks to the area of Saurashtra and parts of south-western Gujarat.
"The Greeks ... took possession, not only of Patalena, but also, on the rest of the coast, of what is called the kingdom of Saraostus and Sigerdis. In short, Apollodorus says that Bactriana is the ornament of Ariana as a whole; and, more than that, they extended their empire even as far as the Seres and the Phryni." (Strabo 11.11.1 [1]) An inscription of Ashoka (circa 250 BCE) was discovered on a rock at Girnar, near Junagarh in Saurashtra, showing that the area was controlled by the Mauryas from the capital of Pataliputra.
Saraostus, under the name Surastrene, is also mentioned in the 1st century CE Periplus of the Erythraean Sea:
"Beyond the gulf of Baraca is that of Barygaza and the coast of the country of Ariaca, which is the beginning of the Kingdom of Nambanus and of all India. That part of it lying inland and adjoining Scythia is called Abiria, but the coast is called Syrastrene. It is a fertile country, yielding wheat and rice and sesame oil and clarified butter, cotton and the Indian cloths made therefrom, of the coarser sorts. Very many cattle are pastured there, and the men are of great stature and black in color. The metropolis of this country is Minnagara, from which much cotton cloth is brought down to Barygaza." Periplus, Chap. 41 [2]

Greek World map :

Alex's Conquest of wast Asia :

Greeks only knew that India is a land on the East of Indus but they had no idea where India ends beyond Indus river. Greeks in those days believed India is at end of the earth and one of the main reason Alexander moved East after conquering Persia was to see the edge of the earth as he believed India is the last country. It was only after they invaded India, Greek knew about India and Megasthenes gave a full proper description of India which included all of India.

While south Indian ports like Muziris were trading with Israel and other Mid east regions at the end of the 2nd millenium BC, that came to an end long before the Greeks entered the scene and hence , they couldnt have acquired knowledge of the trade routes.Even Herodotus was unaware of southern India and from his fantastic descriptions, I am not too sure about his knowledge of north India either.
