Washington DC April '68 set Ablaze?

Yesterday someone mentioned that in April 68 "protesters set Wash DC afire." The protest was over Vietnam. Also he said our military had gathered up some 10,000 protesters and corralled them into a chain-link enclosure. Is this so? Were can I read more?

I happened to be in DC in the late summer of that year visiting my brother. He drove me down the streets so I could see the damage.

Many stores had spray-painted signs sprayed on their street sides saying “Soul Brother” and other messages to let people know they were black owned businesses. It didn’t seem to make any difference; the buildings were burned anyway.
