I was looking for a good book about the Maya but I can only find older ones, I know the Maya history is an ongoing study so I like to read a newer book not 1930's ! Thanks

When you say about new Maya books you are saying new books like this year or from the last years. for example sinse 2010?
for this year there are
Art and Myth of the Ancient Maya
Oswaldo Chinchilla Mazariegos

The Maya: Civilization, Customs and Superstitions.

Some books are more old but are updated with new discovery. for example
The Maya (Eighth Edition) (Ancient Peoples and Places)
Tikal: The History of the Ancient Maya’s Famous Capital
Uxmal: The History of the Ancient Mayan City
Mayapan: The History of the Mayan Capital

Wait, may be it's not a collection of last news, but I have read a good work [a recent one]. But I have to find it in my wide library ...

I've got it: Norman Hammond [professor of archaeology at Boston University], Ancient Maya Civilization.
