What happened of the Buddhist missions that Ashoka sent westwards

The ones he sent westward of afgbanisthan basically to iran, iraq, syria, greece and egypt. Are there any records of these monks reaching to the said places, how well were their teachings accepted by the locals and why did it not reach the same impact as his missions to sri lanka and the east?

Google Pyrrhonism. I am not an expert but last I read the academic consensus seemed to be this branch of Greek philosophy arose directly from contact with Buddhism.

Although this was probably because of what Pyrro learned when he went to India, rather than him being influenced by Buddhist missionaries who may or may not have gone West.
