Mythical land.
I know that middle eastern religions have explictly condemned homosexuality as an adomination and what not,so i think general attitude must have been hostile to homosexuality there but what about east?

Most Hindu branches have been historically opposed, from what I know. You have to know that even in contemporary, secular Republic of India, same-sex activity was a CRIME, till LAST month, I think. Regarding China It's more difficult to know.

I think the type of Western homosexuality (heavily promoted by America these days), in which two adult bearded men make love to each other, was absent from India and China. Rather few cases of pederasty (sexual relations between adult man as subject and adolescent boy as object) occurred here and there in Indian society. And the men in such activity, were not oriented to homosexuality but just perverts who wanted to do sex with beautiful beardless feminine looking pubescent or prepubescent boys. It was more of Persian and Central Asian perversion but made its way into India during medieval period (thus it was more prevalent in Muslim circles than Hindu). Here Abraham Eraly mentions a case of a Persian falling in love with a young Hindu boy of Sindh. The Mughal World

The above mentioned perversion can be still observed in Afghanistan today. It was also once epidemic in Central Asia but Russians eradicated it.

As far as the Middle East and North Africa go, homosexuality might be seen with a stigma by mainstream religion but bisexuality for the sake of just sex is so prevalent as to be considered normal.

Is Bacha bazi practiced anywhere in Pakistan?

My best friend is Punjabi, he and his family own a crap load of land near Lahore. He tells me its not even remotely a secret that most barbers are homosexual, that among duties besides grooming pubic hair of other male clients they also give "happy endings," as they are referred to elsewhere. Maybe this is just a story, but I trust him.

I am not aware of barbers giving "happy endings" to clients in Pakistan, seems like some porn fantasy. Barbers are usually adult male and barber shops are open to streets, or in open air. And no, they dont shave pubic hair. Same is case with barbers in India. May be some barbers are homosexual and are involved in the mentioned activity in Punjab, but its incorrect to claim "most barbers are homosexual".

There is no "Bacha Bazi" culture in Pakistan except few districts near Afghanistan. But young poor boys are sexually harassed by perverts all over Pakistan, usually in work places like shops, hotels, transport etc. If working boy is beautiful in feminine way, he is more prone to be sexually harassed and abused. Punjab in Pakistan is particularly notorious for high number of cases of rapes of prepubescent boys. Male childs are more likely to be raped than female childs. For example in 2016-17, out of 1297 reported cases of sexual assault against children, 1045 were against boys and 252 were against girls. Lahore tops the list of Punjab’s cities with highest number of child rape cases in 2016-17 - Daily Pakistan

Funny story, my buddy, who I trust implicitly and saved my life in Iraq, told me a hilarious story about how an uncle of his from Pakistan came to the US, in New Jersey, went to a barber shop, and then screamed at the barber after they cut his hair because the barber refused to his pubes too. Anyway, he told me about the barbers being predominately gay because it allows them to practice a trade and get extra money and do what they do naturally. Maybe make believe, maybe not. But considering this is your word against his, and nothing more, I'm taking his.

Nice source, proving that Pakistan is home to a whole lot of child rapes too.

Also, I guess you need to let these people know that they are all liars and ignorant: Pakistan's Hidden Shame (Full Documentary) - Real Stories

How about making a visit to Pakistan and seeing barber shops for yourself?. Or you can ask any Indian here if this activity also exist in their country because barber caste of both countries is same. What your friend is claiming, could be nothing more than a joke to entertain you. "Barbers are predominately gay", thats very stupid thing to say. Have seen barber shops in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh?. Its not a secret room, its packed with people waiting, and people on street can see inside of the entire shop through glass. "Happy endings", only in rich imagination of your friend.

So you think I should fly to Pakistan to see if the barber stories are true? Nah, a bit too expensive. I'll just take my friend's word over the stranger on Historum who a couple posts ago who wrote this: "There is no "Bacha Bazi" culture in Pakistan except few districts near Afghanistan"

Bacha Bazi is prevalent in Pashtun culture, which makes up 15% of Pakistan's population. So a significant population of that country come from a culture that promotes adult men having sex with male children. I'd say that makes Pakistan kind of a hub for that sort of behavior, and might be something the OP would like to know.
