There's not a lot of evidence before Sujin. But there is evidence for the existence of the Yamato state. As for whether the Imperial lineage is correct, that's highly unlikely. Of course, the earliest "emperors" wouls have been little more than tribal chieftains.But how much of the stories of the first Emperors actually is true and how much is myth? Is there any evidence that the Imperial Family goes back to 660 BC?
The Imperial lineage is also dubious since the Japanese count adopted children as legitimate heirs in the same line.
