Which European monarchies would have survived up to the present-day without the Fall of France in 1940?

Had France not fallen in 1940, which European monarchies that ceased to exist in real life would have survived up to the present-day? For the record, the countries that were monarchies in 1940 but are no longer monarchies today are Italy, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Greece, Albania, and Ireland. Obviously Ireland would still be expected to become a republic even without the Fall of France since AFAIK its turn towards republicanism had nothing to do with WWII, but what about these other countries? Would any of these other countries have remained monarchies up to the present-day in a scenario where France would not have fallen in 1940?

Also, are any European countries other than Spain who weren't monarchies in 1940 actually going to become monarchies sometime between 1940 and the present-day in this scenario and also remain monarchies up to the present-day? If which, which European countries?

Any thoughts on all of this?

BTW, here are maps of both European monarchies in 1930 (in red) and European monarchies in 2015 (also in red):

Is it me or does this question resemble a question already being discussed? What new issues are relevant here? Are you stipulating the fall of the Hitler regime by a time such as early 1944 in this thread ?

This question involves WWII occurring but having France not fall in 1940; the previous question involves World War II not happening at all.

Yeah but! :zany::zany:

Please expand on what happened in '42, '43 etc.

Soviet Union expanded to the West? French Republic holds doesn't at all indicate your counterfactual in the East, does it?

The best-case scenario would be Hitler and the Nazis being overthrown in 1940 or 1941 and a compromise peace being established where the new German government agrees to withdraw from Poland, Danzig, and Czechia (other than the Sudetenland, which Germany is going to be allowed to keep) but is allowed to keep all of its January 1939 territory. As for the Soviet Union, it expands into the territories that it expanded into 1939-1940 in real life and maybe into Subcarpathian Ruthenia as well but nowhere else.

Okay. You almost certainly can't get the Republic back in Germany so I'm imagining a "good old" abandonment of civil government in favor of rule by the Army. In the scenario you provide Stalin is still the main driver of events from '42. Thanks for adding the broad description of the settlement.

Also, it seems that Vatican City appears on the map as well!

So Spain is actually not alone among the ranks of S. European monarchical States!

edit: 3 S. European monarchies when Andorra is added. Apologies to the scores of Andorran Historumites.

.... Apologies to the memory of Princess Grace (nee Kelly), upon expanding this image, Monaco is visible.

Apologies to the scores of Historumites at the House of Grimaldi.

I was discussing this topic with a friend and was led to research whether Queen Elizabeth remained the Head of State of Malta, and learned that in late 1974 the Constitution of Malta ended the English Crown's status as Head of State. (The map looks pretty solid...)

In the order of likelihood of retaining their monarchs per @Futurist's expanded scenario, I'll throw this against the wall for discussion (the six Southern monarchies):

1. Romania
2A. Bulgaria
2B. Greece
4. Yugoslavia
5. Hungary
6A. Albania
6B. Italy

(some real possibility of Albania losing its independence as Greece could be more strategically vital to the Western powers as well.)

EDIT: sincere apologies to Hungarian readers for any offense by lumping your nation with the truly Southern nations.
