Why can't the East Asian countries learn from Europe?

Many in China, Korea and Japan still resent each other due to strong history of war and bloodshed. Kind of like the many European powers. Yet they have learned to work with each other. Why not follow the Europeans lead and wash away centuries of antagonism.

because the war crimes has been fully punished in europe. even today, wearing nazi cloth, behaving nazi salute is illegal, and will face severe punishment. it is not the situation in japan, whose gov constantly makes strange claims on war time crimes, whose religious activities take imperial japanese as fancy cosplay shows and proud historical memory, but just not a crime. the apology which had been made by japan decades ago has been void since then

korean culture never was part of china, it is the consensus of the chinese society. while part of the current northern lands of korean nation had been part of ancient chinese regimes, and chinese people also have consensus on this historical fact.

japanese people are not devil. and it is not china who cannot let history go. it is exactly japanese cannot let history go. everytime when china memorize the nanjing massacre, someone in japan would claim it did not exist or it is a lie created by chinese. they forget one basic fact, chinese are memorize the victims of the massacre and keep the education on the had been evil imperial japanese armies.

it is the problem of certain japanese who draws a equal symbol between imperial japanese army and the today themselves.

I never met a Korean who claimed that Beijing and Japan belongs to the Koreans. None of them are seeking to take those. It's actually China who's seeking more territory from many neighbours over historical claims (when in reality China is doing this to get more resources). No Korean calls the Sea of Japan as the "Sea of Korea". They call it the East Sea in Korean and none of them are demanding the Japanese to do the same. This isn't an issue between the Koreans and the Japanese. Dokdo is already owned and inhabited by the Koreans. It's the Japanese who are demanding Dokdo. You can't travel to Dokdo straight from Japan because Japan doesn't control it. You have to go via the Korean mainland. I don't know any Korean who claims that Korea spread civilization. Know a Korean before you make accusations. Time and time again, you try to make Korea look like the one trying to stir trouble when it was Korea who was the victim in between the two superpowers. For example, without China's help, there wouldn't be North Korea and the threats coming from there. Seriously, do you really think that Korea, especially South Korea, wants trouble against much larger and stronger neighbours?

East Asian nations are learning from Europe, Europe of the early 20th Century. All the components seem to be there:

-Highly nationalist, centralized and authoritarian states (Germany, Russia; China)
-Fledgling democracy's (France, UK; ROK & Japan)
-Long, long histories of international conflicts (basically everyone most of the time!)
-Influences from outside the region (Ottomans, US; US, EU/UK, Russia)
-An atmosphere, rumours or outright proof of financial uncertainty/big problems (Wall street Crash, high levels of inflation in Germany, abandoning the gold standard; 2007/8 crash, Japanese inflation, Chinese economic bubble)
-Rapidly expanding national military and developing technology (German/British naval arms race, development of tanks, combined air force/army operations; Chinese military expansion, Japan perhaps abandoning its pacifist constitution and aeronautical plus ICT technology are just too examples of Moore’s Law)
