Why Does Poland Have No Medieval History?

To defend AwP: as a Pole, I don't put it past Russians to do anything anti-Polish.

Polish history is well studied at academic level in Scotland because of the ancient ties between both peoples going back to mediaeval times.
No suprise then that Scots-Polish merchant Alexander Chalmers was four times the Mayor of Warsaw between 1695-1714.
When walking in the Papal apartements in the Vatican back in 2oo4 I was not suprised to see a wall tapestry of Polish King Jan Sobieski who halted the Moslem hordes at Vienna thus saving the Papacy..

Interestingly Jan Sobieski King of Poland led Polish and German troops to victory over the Ottomans. in the 17th century at Vienna.
