Egyptian authorities have decide to create an event to regain the attention of the world in the perspective of a possible reopening of the main touristic sites.
It's clear that if it will be possible [thanks to vaccines] to travel, next summer many tourists will visit Egypt to see the new remarkable museum.

I love this. Music, parades, ceremonies and their names prominently displayed... I believe that the Queens ans Kings of Egypt would have been quite satisfied with the whole affair. (Of course there were other motivations at work beside honoring their ancestors, but still, a grand event!)
And yes, I cannot wait to see the new museum. I have been to the old one 8 times, and it was great, but the presentation and security of the artifacts was far from a modern standard.

I liked the 'little' buses they made ... and the Ma'at banners

Maybe the Egyptian army could remodel their military vehicles to look like this :)

Yes, the Ma'at banners are great!! ...but the whole thing is clearly aimed at the foreign countries... The names of the kings and queens where in English, not Arabic. (Though I seem to remember a "Ramses the third" in arabic script. Did they put arabic on the left sides and English on the right?)

The right think to do was to show the cartouches of the Monarchs and their Great Royal Wives in hieroglyphics ...
But at international level it would haven't worked so well. An example about Queen Ahmose Nefertari ...

Sure it would be... But what would please their K3.w more? That their names be written in the original md.w nTr? Or that they be comprehended and remembered by thousands and millions of people?
(And just imagine: Seqnenre Tao. By all probability he died a violent death, defeated in battle, executed and his body mutilated by many blows. He tried to establish his Dynasty as rulers of the two lands, and during his lifetime he failed. And now? Now he led the procession, like Wepwawet, like the First of the Westerners, acknowledged 3500 years later as the very first king of the great New Kingdom, the Golden Age of Egypt. I cannot but imagine that his Ka was pleased...)

It was a good go. Also that Egypt can stage large cultural and arts events. The use of other sites was a good mix. With the last year and a bit being crud a nice over the top event was refreshing.
