I wondered what byzantine music sound like?

Check out these:
YouTube - Byzantine Secular Music-The Nightingale Kratima
Byzantine secular music, by Xenon Koronis, 15th cenuty.

and another byzantine secular one:
YouTube - Byzantine Emperors. Theophilos (829-842)

The greatest hymnos of all, "Akathistos"(the standing), the "Te Ypermacho Stratego"(To the supreme general), Panagia(Mary). Psalmed most probably during the Siege of Polis by Avars in the 7th century!
YouTube - ?? ???????? ???????? - To thee, the Champion Leader

Unto you, O Theotokos, invincible Champion, your City, in thanksgiving ascribes the victory for the deliverance from sufferings. And having your might unassailable, free us from all dangers, so that we may cry unto you, Rejoice, O Bride Ever-Virgin.

Hi
Here is a beautiful piece for Lute by Joan Ambrosio Dalza (fl. 1508).
I collected it many years ago from a crackly vinyl LP.
What I want to do is to identify the artist & album name so I can buy a copy.
The piece is in 2 sections: The first is the relatively well known 'Taster de Corde' but I can't ID the second part.
Any suggestions?

Here is a link to numerous selections of music from England, France, Spain and Italy for all to enjoy either streaming it or downloading it for free. This link also has several more links attached to it. Enjoy.
Which type of music do you enjoy Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, .... ?

I remembered this thread today as I was searching for a medieval chant.

It deserves a bump, at least for the link of the OP and the magnificent work of Ray. Such love and care for a subject is rare indeed.

I don't know if this has already been posted, but even so it certainly can't hurt.

Oh well, since the old links don't work any more:

Don't mind the Orthodox images in the first video and that the second one is from a game, the music is true.

Hymna Pange Lingua

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79HKr0po9_E

Pange lingua gloriosi
Corporis mysterium,
Sanguinisque pretiosi,
quem in mundi pretium
Fructus ventris generosi
Rex effudit gentium.

Nobis datus, nobis natus
ex intacta Virgine,
et in mundo conversatus
sparso verbi semine
sui moras incolatus
miro clausit ordine.

[...]

Tantum ergo sacramentum
veneremur cernui,
et antiquum documentum
novo cedat ritui;
praestet fides supplementum
sensuum defectui.

Genitori Genitoque
laus et iubilatio,
salus, honor, virtus quoque
sit et benedictio;
Precedenti ab utroque
compar sit laudatio.
Amen.
